About the bands:

Julie Curly & Sylvain Deschamps: For over a decade, one of them was writing sappy pop songs, singing about Flower Power, and performing with cover bands, while the other was making a name for himself in the blues scene while shredding on his electric guitar with his band in every corner of Quebec. Their passion for music has allowed them to combine their two worlds for over seven years now. The duo’s musical complicity is matched only by the diversity and strength of their repertoire. From pop to rock, blues to soul, in both French and English, the acoustic duo offers a mix of original compositions and covers spanning from the 1960s to today. Their first cover album, called Acoustic Cover Session (2023) is out now. Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mx-PdkN6j4

Within Maya Crash, spirits blend and merge, psyches crash/fuse, grind and sparks surge, setting ablaze sounds where Soul meets Rock, Electro unites with Metal. Elements condense in a cathartic blast. Its first EP “Versions of We” explores this multiplicity by confronting introversion and expression, control and freedom, reconnecting the different selves to defy an erratic world through audacity and tenacity. Inspired by bands such as Royal Blood, Dead Poet Society, Korn or Linkin Park, they stand out with a colorful vocal part supported by sharp and powerful riffs.
